Bulletin analytique d’histoire romaine 1962-
Gespecialiseerde lopende bibliografie verzorgd door de Groupe de Recherche d’Histoire Romaine de l’Université de Strasbourg, zeer up-to-date (NS 9, 2000 is verschenen). Tot 1992 een matig geïndexeerde lijst titels mét een kleine samenvatting van elk genoemd werk. Nu een op vele manieren prima ontsloten bibliografie, maar helaas zonder samenvattingen. Het materiaal vanaf 1990 is ook via Internet raadpleegbaar, zij het na enige complicerende installaties. Men moet even de tijd nemen om de weg in deze bibliografie te leren vinden, maar dan werkt het veel gerichter dan de algemene lopende (en achterlopende) bibliografie van L’Année philologique:

The most important multi-volume textbook is the Cambridge Ancient History,
a worjk characterized by Richard Alston in Classical Review as ‘of reference not of ideas,’
what can come in handy, especially when one is in need of some ‘certainties in a scholarly world that is increasingly obsessed with ambiguities.’
